As we celebrate Ornico’s 40th anniversary, we are thrilled to spotlight the incredible journeys of our employees who have been integral to our success. One such individual is Cheslin, whose dedication and adaptability have significantly contributed to Ornico’s evolution.

Starting Small and Growing Big

Cheslin began his journey at Ornico as one of the pioneering members of our then-small Editorial Broadcast team. Reflecting on those early days, he recalls, “Man, the kids of today will never know,” referring to the laborious task of manually setting up and reviewing hundreds of videotapes to capture TV and radio mentions for our clients. From these humble beginnings, Cheslin advanced to Senior Broadcast Monitor before transitioning into the Analysis team. Now a Junior Media Analyst, he finds excitement in continuously enhancing our analysis products and delivering quality media insights to our clients.

Motivation Through Innovation and Community

What has kept Cheslin motivated and committed to Ornico over the years? For him, it’s the dynamic nature of the company. “Working at Ornico has always kept me on my toes as the company continues to advance in terms of processes and the technology we utilize to provide clients with what they need,” Cheslin shares. But it’s not just about the work; it’s about the people. “I would say the people I have met and worked with over the years, I would consider more than just colleagues but friends,” he notes.

Proud Moments and Professional Growth

Cheslin has had numerous moments of pride during his tenure at Ornico. He highlights high-profile marketing and analysis reports like the Social Media Landscape, impactful initiatives like the CEO Sleep-out, and the global recognition from AMEC as key achievements that have filled him with pride for Ornico’s accomplishments.

On a personal and professional level, Ornico has significantly influenced Cheslin’s growth. “I feel I have grown so much both professionally and as a person, picking up things I can use both in the office and outside,” Cheslin says. The collaborative environment and the constant pursuit of knowledge have equipped him with skills and insights that extend beyond the office.

Witnessing Evolution

Cheslin has seen Ornico undergo significant transformations since he joined. From the days of analogue videotapes to the adoption of digital capturing software, AI, and online scraping systems, Ornico has continuously evolved to stay ahead of the curve. Despite these changes, Cheslin notes that the core essence of Ornico—the people and the vibrant work environment—has remained steadfast. “There has been so much evolution at Ornico in the time I’ve been here. But the more things change, the more they stay the same…the people and the work environment is as cool (maybe better) and the will to be the best at what we do is as high now as it had been all those many years when I first joined the family,” he observes.

As we celebrate 40 years of Ornico, Cheslin’s journey stands as a testament to the growth, innovation, and unwavering commitment that define our company. His story is a reflection of the collective spirit that has driven Ornico to where it is today and will continue to propel us forward in the years to come.
